FACELIFT HAS A REASON!
To improve our drab gray and unappealing look, and to attract the eye
of the hundreds of tourists on their way to the West Rim of the Grand
Canyon.
We are on the way to remove this drab
uncared for look the whole town.
If we ever hope to get any new business to come to our area, and to get another bank to return to our midst;
we have to look prosperous
and become a pleasant place to visit.
FIRST ACCOMPLISHMENT
We have finished our painting on the inside and the outside of the chamber building
Its a lovely color of "Kenya" gold . perfect for our desert area. trimmed in a lively color of "Red Pepper".
We have installed the decorative
wagon wheels on the building
along with some new site numbers.
it really perks up our look,
and begins our western look
along with
Colorful Picnic Tables on
North side of Building
for our visitors.

NEW PROJECTS COMING UP
Mural for two buildings, and aboard fence
another new sign.
Dolan Springs Eagle Scouts to take on the project of
rebuilding two of our entrance signs
on Pierce Ferry
road
Most of the businesses are in rented buildings.
and we cannot make direct decisions on what would
improve the looks of the building and the business.
But we did have control over the Chamber building.
This is the reason that the Chamber of Commerce was chosen as our 1st major project. and the fact that it needed a lot of work. We have done a number of repairs along with the painting.
we extended the concrete walk for disabled to enter our building. we still have some work to do on this.
TO USE THE CHAMBER BUILDING
We have extended our interior that now lets us
allow a larger group of people use the building.
We had a health group here 5th of October
to do health testing & sonagrams. They were able to set up their equipment and privacy screens for patients.
It was a well received program.
The building is centrally located, with the space now for birthday parties, weddings and other legitimate events.
Our rent is reasonable.
CALL Lee 928767-4473
we have succeeded in making the
Chamber of Commerce into an attractive looking
building.
Then, perhaps the owners of the businesses and
buildings would be more willing to try and fix up their business.
The facelift will try to help with paint and signs.
We can also offer suggestions to improve your building.
We want to help you....but you have to also want to be helped and willing to work on the change along with the volunteers.
If you want some help do call me, or if you have any suggestions on raising funds to buy the materials to work with.
I am here, I will listen

Needed Donations & Volunteers
donate funds, materials to the Facelift project.
all funds go into a segregated account of the Chamber of Commerce. The funds are used only toward the improvement of Dolan Springs.
and we could use some help with making them success.
WALL OF FAME
We have hung plaques on our wall of Fame for the Chamber past officers people who have contributed to keeping the Chamber Building open and operating.
and their contributions over the years to the Chamber of Commerce and to the community of Dolan Springs.
We have a number of people to thank for their hard work and persistence in getting the Building Painted.
Volunteers: David Booth, Barbara Brown, Darlene Johnston, Bonnie
Thank Goodness for Persistent People!
ART WORK AT THE CHAMBER
We will be showing some art work on loan to us from some of the many Artists that live in our area. These are on loan. The artists will provide Business Cards and Brochures.
We are trying to show the great talent that is in our area. Some of these Artist are members of our Chamber of Commerce .
the artist community is a business within itself.
no matter how hard the times are. people enjoy putting a little beauty and pleasure into their lives!
We had an open house and pot luck
Oct 22nd
It was a no purpose meeting, just a get together and visit with each other.
we had a good turn out.
Not even one raffle ticket was sold.
we simply enjoyed being together.
and some really good food.
.
we honor those volunteers who have made
our new look possible and preserved the building for another 10 years.
COMPLAINTS AND IDEAS
Please come into the chamber and tell me your ideas and solutions for improving our economy. I will listen. . . to your complaints also. . . but be prepared to offer a solution. we are living in a whole new era. so all the old things that worked do not work any longer. we have to think outside the box.
