             FEATURED BUSINESS
We enjoy our Featured Business section. It's our opportunity to spotlight to the world a locally owned and operated Dolan Springs, or in our area, business. It takes dedication, blood, sweat and tears to make it in business out here in the desert.  (Especially the sweat. It does get hot here in the summer.)

The Hualapai (pronounced  wall'-ah-pie) Mountain Lodge and Restaurant is 12 miles up Hualapai Mountain to the Lodge. At 6,500', winter brings a beautiful snow covered wonderland and in the summer it's always a lot
cooler up there than in Kingman and other towns. We actually have local 'snowbirds' that move to this area to escape the heat of summer in lower areas.

In the area of the Lodge you will find Hiking Trails, Picnic Areas and ATV trails. Besides that, you will be treated to some magnificent views of the mountains and lower area for miles around. Bring your high top boots and hiking clothes and explore this beautiful area. Don't forget the cameras.

If you wound like to really make your visit here extra memorable, plan a couple nights in the Lodge. Beautiful, clean, comfy rooms with beautiful views give you a very warm welcome. Hike, have a few meals in the restaurant and a couple adult beverages in the bar, then have a great sleep in this super quiet atmosphere.
Below are a couple of photos of the lodge. It's bigger than the photos show.

Personally, the restaurant at the Hualapai complex is one of my favorites. The food and service is exceptional.
My favorite food there is on the lunch menu and is a BBQ Prime Rib sandwich. It's huge and there is no way that you can eat that thing without having a real mess to lick off your fingers! It's wonderful and worth every drop of BBQ sauce on your shirt. I have never had a bad meal or poor service. There are two dining rooms, both with a super view. One view, you are looking over the mountains, and in the other dining room, there is a huge picture window and just outside that window you will probably see a bunch of wild elk who come there to eat and rest. But don't go outside and try to pet or make friends with those elk because they ARE WILD animals and act as such. So respect a distance from them.

You will have a very memorable time at the Hualapai Mountain Restaurant and Lodge. I forgot to mention, just the drive up the mountain is spectacular! Have that camera ready.

Below is a shot of the beautiful, relaxing bar area. Ready for a cold one before dinner?
