Watch for this sign to get to Oatman.
From Kingman, take 40 west heading to Los Angeles, go about 3 or 4 miles and you will see this sign. When you're off 40, watch closly for the 2nd intersection and turn left at the
Oatman Highway. You will drive on the flats
for a few miles till you begin to climb the mountain. Get ready to take some fabulous pictures. As you drive up the mountain, there are some places you can pull over and park so you can get out of the vehicle to take those memorable photos. You'll take a breath-taking ride along the winding road as you head to the town of Oatman, a town where burros roam
free waiting for you to give them carrots (available for sale from the local merchants). Oatman is an old western town with a great history and gun fights!
Oatman is a definate DON'T MISS when
visiting here.
This is what Oatman looks like. Enjoy the photos and imagine yourself feeding the burros and visiting these great shops.

Gunfights are held regularly and are a lot of fun. After the gunfights, they 'pass the hat' and all donations go the the Shriner's Childrens Hospital. So far, they have raised over $51,000. Thanks Gun fighters!
